The world today is going digital, which is also opening doors to different risks we often overlook. Recognizing this issue, the NSS Unit of KL University’s MCA Department launched an awareness drive in Tummapudi village, Duggirala Mandal.

This initiative took place under the guidance of Dr. D. Usha Rani, NSS Program Officer. MCA volunteers went door-to-door to spread a vital awareness message. It said Choose safety over vulnerability online. Instead of personal photos, villagers were encouraged to use safer alternatives, such as initials, quotes, or scenic images.

Apart from this, the volunteers also shared resources that will protect people against cyber threats. Anyone who has been exposed to harassment is advised to act with courage and report the incident to the nearest police station, call the Cyber Crime Helpline at 1930, or contact the Women's Emergency Helpline at 181 to seek immediate support.

MCA Professor Dr. D. Surendra informed that the aim of the campaign was not just to spread information but also to build confidence among students at the top university in South India. It reminded communities that they are not powerless against cybercrime but capable of safeguarding themselves with awareness and the right actions.
