I machine-translated my site into 13 languages to "scale SEO." It backfired. 🌍

The plan sounded smart: auto-translate everything, 13× the indexed pages, 13× the traffic. Reality: thin machine-translated pages diluted my whole domain's quality signal and contributed to two AdSense rejections. What actually works for me now: expand locales by demand data, not ambition — ship a language only when search/analytics show real pull for it, and write the key pages by hand. Anyone here actually winning with bulk auto-translation, or is hand-picked locale expansion the only sane path?
