Description

PixelCrafts is a free, browser-based Image to Pixel Art converter that turns photos, illustrations, and game references into clean, exportable pixel art in seconds. The converter runs entirely locally in your browser, so images never have to be uploaded to a server, and the workflow stays fast, private, and friction-free.

Users start by uploading a PNG, JPG, WebP, or GIF, then dial in the look with a pixel size slider, a style preset, a color palette, and a set of advanced effects. The result is previewed side by side with the original through a draggable before and after comparison slider, and exports as a crisp PNG ready to drop into games, social profiles, craft patterns, or design work.

The tool ships with built-in retro style presets covering NES, SNES, Game Boy, PICO-8, Vaporwave, Thermal, Matrix, Old Movie, Anime, and Glitch Art. Color palettes can be applied as presets, generated adaptively from the source image, imported from Lospec and PixilArt by URL or slug, or pasted manually as a list of HEX values. For finer control, advanced effects include scanlines, noise, sharpen, outline, bloom, chromatic aberration, CRT mask, hue shift, temperature, and tint. A settings memory feature lets users recall their last used setup for consistent results across sessions.

Beyond the main single-image converter, PixelCrafts offers two companion workflows. The Images to Pixel Art page handles batch conversion of multiple photos, icons, and references with one shared style. The Image to Minecraft Pixel Art page turns the same workflow into a block-by-block reference with a Minecraft block palette and material list, useful for survival builds, map art, and tutorial videos.

Common use cases include making avatars and emotes, designing indie game sprites and item icons, planning Perler bead and cross-stitch patterns, sketching game-ready references, building Minecraft block art, and creating stickers and favicons. All exported PNGs are watermark-free and ready for personal or commercial use, as long as the user has the rights to the source image.

PixelCrafts is built for creators, indie game developers, retro art fans, craft hobbyists, and anyone who wants a quick Image to Pixel result without installing software. No signup, no upload, no watermark — just a direct, browser-based workflow that goes from idea to PNG.
