Description

Random Animal picks animals for you to use in a lesson, game, drawing prompt, writing exercise, or just a quick break. You choose how many you want, optionally narrow it to a class like mammal, bird, fish, reptile, amphibian, or invertebrate, and decide whether you want pictures and facts or just names.

What makes it different is the catalogue behind it. Every animal, fact, and image is reviewed for its source, identity, and usage rights before it shows up — nothing is pulled from a live API at random or paired with a made-up fact. If you get a result you like, you can lock it and re-roll the rest.

Beyond the main generator, there's a small set of connected tools built for the same audience: animal lists for building a set of prompts, a spin wheel for group picks, drawing and body-part prompts for sketching, and an animal charades generator for play. Each keeps the animal's context so you can move from a random pick into an actual activity.

It's aimed at classrooms and family activities where you want variety without hunting for a picture or checking a fact yourself.
