Log what you actually did in the Journal: add an entry when you switch to something new, and each entry runs until the next one, so there is no timer to start or stop. Break big goals into projects and todos and track progress in the hours you actually spent. The Review shows time by category against the previous period, an energy curve across the day and whether each goal is on pace.
