Description
Build a Hooper is a daily basketball drafting game that takes about four minutes and refuses to let you off the hook. Everyone in the world gets the same thirteen rounds. Each round drops a real team-season on the board — the 1995-96 Bulls, the 1971-72 Lakers, 99 of them — with its full nine-man rotation, and you steal exactly one rating from one player. Not his best one: whichever one you want. Take Jordan's handle and you have walked away from his finishing. Every attribute can be claimed only once across the run, so the thirteenth round is played with whatever nobody wanted in the first.Your position is drawn for you, and position is everything, because the sim weights all thirteen attributes differently for each one. A 96 three-point shot is worth about 2.9 overall to a shooting guard and under 1.0 to a centre. Those figures come out of the same engine that runs your season, calibrated over 40,000 simulated runs.
When the draft ends you spin your career team, take your place in their starting five, and play 82 games. Watch one live, quarter by quarter, or sim to the end. Conference standings fill in beside you and the playoff line moves. The report card afterwards names the pick that carried the season and the one that cost it. Every run mints a card with a permanent link, and every score on the daily leaderboard is verified by replaying your picks on the server — you cannot report a number, only earn one.
