Description
CleanVideoText removes text that is baked into video frames: burned-in subtitles, hard-coded captions, timestamps, channel handles and watermarks. You upload a clip, mark the area or the subtitle track, and the service reconstructs the background behind the letters frame by frame, so the shot stays sharp instead of being blurred or cropped. Most people remove hardcoded subtitles by cropping the frame or putting a blur box over the text, and both destroy the picture. CleanVideoText keeps the original resolution and fills in the area with the surrounding image, which matters when the subtitles sit over a face, a product or moving footage.
It is used for repurposing videos across languages, cleaning up screen recordings before publishing, removing karaoke-style captions from clips that will be re-subtitled, and stripping channel watermarks from footage that is being licensed or reused.
No editing skills are needed: upload, mark, download. There is a free tier, and the site also has dedicated pages for removing subtitles, removing captions, and removing watermarks from video.
