Block Blast starts out feeling pretty relaxed — then somewhere around the harder levels, the board fills up fast and one wrong placement ruins everything you built. I kept seeing players hit that wall and either quit or restart over and over, which felt like a problem worth solving.
The idea behind Block Blast Solver was straightforward: build something that actually reads your board and tells you what to do next — not generic tips, but a real solution based on your exact current game state. The screenshot detection piece was the hardest part to get right. Puzzle boards come in different screen sizes, lighting conditions, and layouts, so getting the detection reliable enough to actually be useful took a lot of iteration. The final workflow uses computer vision to map the grid from an uploaded screenshot, then runs an algorithmic solver to return the optimal placement sequence step by step.
The result covers two use cases — screenshot upload for players mid-game who just want a fast answer, and manual board input for players who want to think through scenarios more carefully. Both are free, no account needed, works directly in the browser.
