NewIndieGame is a daily directory of New Indie Games, built for players who love small, surprising games but don't have hours to dig through thousands of new uploads. Every day it watches the places where indie games first appear: itch.io's newest and most popular releases, the top-ranked entries of game jams that just finished judging, Show HN launches on Hacker News, and games submitted by the people who made them. From all of that, only a handful make it onto the shelf.

Every game gets its own page with a plain-English summary of what it is, the developer's own description, quick takes from a panel of editors who each play to their own taste and say what falls short, how-to-play notes, tips and answers to common questions. You'll see the facts that matter at a glance, like genre, price, which platforms it runs on, release date and its rating where it was found, plus a button that takes you straight to the official page to play.

Games are sorted into genres such as puzzle, roguelike, strategy, idle, story and horror, and each genre has its own cartridge design, so a shelf reads at a glance. Rate games, save favorites, leave comments and check the top-rated list to see what other players enjoyed. Developers can submit a game for free, or choose a paid plan for faster, featured placement, always clearly labelled.
