Description
LayerGrab is an AI tool that splits an image into editable layers: up to 16 separate transparent layers, one per element, each named, with the background behind them filled in. Upload a flat PNG, JPG or WebP (a poster, a product banner, a screenshot or an AI-generated image) and in about a minute you get the headline, the logo, the product and each decoration on its own layer, in its original position. What you can do with it:
- Download every layer as a transparent PNG, all of them as a ZIP, or a layered PSD for Photoshop, Photopea or Affinity.
- Name just the part you want ("only the logo and the price") to separate one object and keep the background whole.
- Redraw a single layer with a text prompt in the browser canvas.
- Work where you design: a Figma plugin and a Chrome extension, with Photoshop and Sketch plugins in beta.
Every account gets one free split with full download. After that, credits are charged per layer returned, with plans from $12 a month or one-time credit packs.
When not to use it: if you still have the original layered file, use that. LayerGrab rebuilds layers from the pixels, so text comes back as an image layer rather than editable type, and areas hidden behind objects are reconstructed by the AI rather than recovered.
