KL University’s Department of Commerce celebrated International Accounting Day with great zeal on 10th November 2025. The event honored the vital role of accounting professionals in the global economy while motivating the students to achieve excellence in the field of commerce.

The beginning of the celebration witnessed an introductory address by Dr. Vahed, Alternate Head of the Department, and was followed by an inaugural speech by Dr. S. Santha Kumari, Head of the Department. She emphasized the importance of accounting education and the need for strong professional ethics.

A key highlight of the day was the special talks delivered by eminent speakers, Dr A.V.N. Murthy and Dr. J. Robert Edwin, who shared valuable insights into emerging trends, technology integration, and career opportunities in accounting and finance.

Other activities aligned for the faculty members and students of the Department of Commerce included debate, role play, quiz, and presentations. The events showcased the participants’ knowledge, creativity, and teamwork, thus reflecting the department’s promise to collaborative learning as well as academic excellence.

Concluding the event, there was a vote of thanks by Ms. Niktha, I B.Com, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the speakers, faculty, and students for their active involvement and contributions toward making the celebration a resounding success.
