LiTrue a manufacturer of high energy-density lithium battery cells and custom battery packs, today announced the launch of the PE42N-EF, a 42Ah, 3.85V ultra-high energy density solid-state anode-free cell. The new cell delivers 490Wh/kg energy density, 3C continuous / 5C pulse discharge, and operates across a -43°C to 55°C temperature range, targeting industrial UAV platforms and custom high-energy battery systems. Full specifications are available on the PE42N-EF product page.

Engineered for Cold-Weather Reliability

Low-temperature operation is a known weak point for many high-energy cells: available capacity drops, internal resistance rises, and systems sized for mild climates can lose flight time or power margin once temperatures fall. The PE42N-EF is built around that constraint, pairing a -43°C to 55°C operating range with 42Ah of capacity in a compact 340g pouch format.

The cell’s 3C continuous and 5C pulse discharge ratings give integrators headroom for takeoff, maneuvering, and other short high-load events without having to oversize the cell purely to cover peak current. As a bare-cell offering, it is intended for teams developing compact, temperature-tolerant battery systems — see LiTrue’s full range of battery cells for related configurations.
